Deanne Howlett is passionate about fostering safer spaces for all individuals to live, learn, and grow. A registered social worker, Deanne completed her BSW in 2015 and a Bachelor of Arts in 2016. Deanne currently holds the title of Program Manager at YWCA St. John’s, where she has worked in various capacities since 2014. Her focus in this role is on project management, program development, and building rewarding collaborations with community stakeholders. She is a part of the national YWCA movement and serves as co-chair of the Young Women’s Leadership and Engagement Committee with YWCA Canada. Prior to joining YWCA St. John's, Deanne volunteered with Thrive’s Street Reach program and completed field placements in a number of St. John's direct service agencies. Outside of work, Deanne enjoys a good book and is a reality TV aficionado.
